Our son Dylan Colby age 11 years entered the Christian Surfers Contest 4/8/06 in Ocean Beach, California. He went out to warm up before his heat and as he was paddling into a right, he pulled out of it last minute and the board flipped over twisting his toes back and cutting the second to the last pinky toe pretty bad. Dylan limped his way from the water and his toe was bleeding. The cut left a flap of skin with a deep gap (yuck) the Pastor stopped the bleeding and cleaned the wound. Dylan’s foot was pretty swollen. His brother gave him piggy back rides because he didn’t have his crutches at the beach. Ironically at the award ceremony for the contest PRO PECK fins were raffled unfortunately Dylan didn’t get his name drawn. He sure wished he had PRO TECK fins during his warm up session. We’ll have to get the family a set for our boards. Poor Dylan, Spring Break was the following week and Dylan was out of the water.
